Your excellent driving record, previous bus driving experience, friendly personality and empathy with members of our aged community are required for this role. You'll collect aged and sometimes frail members of the Italian community, transport them to the Social Support venue and then return them to their homes later in the day. You may need to assist frail passengers in & out of the vehicle so must be physically able. The appropriate bus drivers licence (up to 25 passengers) is essential.

On site orientation and ongoing support are provided.
7:30am to 3:30pm
Must be able to commit to every Tuesday, or every other Tuesday, 7.30am to 3.30pm (6 hours per week). Pick up bus at 7.30am, collect clients, deliver to centre by 9.30am. Time is then free until 1.45pm when will return clients to their homes, and return bus to hire company (finish approx 3.30pm). This will be a shared role, perhaps working alternate weeks, but providing back up on 'off' week to ensure there is always someone available every Tuesday. Alternatively, one person could do pick up and the other could do drop off. Initially could work together to become familiar with routes and clients.
