Volunteers work with small groups or one-to-one with primary school children in a safe, supervised setting to engage interest, develop rapport and assist with the development of reading and general literacy and numeracy skills. Tutors help keep student(s) engaged and maintain interest. You will support students to practise their literacy and numeracy using a range of supplied literacy-based activities and provide feedback to the Learning Club Coordinator.

Training and on-the-job support provided. Volunteers are informed of all legal and training requirements for the volunteer role during or prior to an interview.
1 brief orientation & training session at the school a week before commencement, then 1 hour per week (for 18 weeks) each Thursday during Terms 2 and 3 from 3.00 – 4.15pm.
