Role Description

Join our team to remove waste from our waterways, protect migratory bird habitat & contribute towards the Australian Marine Debris Initiative citizen science program. Working on the Hunter River, our team sets out in a barge to collect debris from mangroves & tidal flats. Debris collected will be sampled to add records to the AMDI database before sending to landfill. Data is analysed & used to influence waste source reduction – to stop debris getting into our waterways in the first place!
