Role Description

Our older men need friendship more than ever. The isolation and loss that older men can experience in older age, can be eased by reaching out and making a new friend. It can take as little as one visit a fortnight to make a difference to men who have lived rich and generous lives. We are looking for men with a sense of purpose who want to give back to those who made Newcastle and the Hunter what it is today.

This role gives you the privileged position of getting to know people who have lived through a period of remarkable change. They may have served for our country, raised families and had long fulfilling careers. They were born long before the internet and mobile phones and have plenty of wisdom to share. Training

Volunteers are provided with initial training and ongoing support. You will also become a valuable member of our team of kind and amazing people. You will the opportunity to participate in Volunteer Recognition events and free training
