Community Visitor (1315)

Monday through Sunday. Times will be negotiated with clients and the aged care homes. Visits usually take place on week days, but there is some flexibility.

About the role

This Community Visitors Scheme matches volunteers to people who are living in their own homes or who are living in Aged Care Homes who would enjoy, and benefit from, friendship and companionship. Your friendly nature, good people skills and empathy for the frail and aged will be highly regarded in this role. Being from a non-English speaking background is desirable but not essential. Current National Criminal Check required and will be arranged by organisation.

Training provided

You’ll be provided with an initial induction/orientation as well as ongoing training, supervision and support.
