A Share-a-Laugh-Together Volunteer Visitor (3535)

Do you like bringing lightness and laughter to people? We are looking for volunteer visitors to provide friendship and connection to older people living either in their own homes or in Residential Aged Care. Just by being a friendly visitor, you can bring vibrance and joy to an older person in our community. In this role, you will be introduced to an older person who shares similar interests to you. You will visit them weekly or fortnightly at a time that suits you.

This is a very flexible way to fit volunteering into your life.You will have the opportunity to build a mutually satisfying friendship and contribute meaningfully to your community. This role gives you the privileged position of getting to know people who have lived in a time before the internet and mobile phones. You will hear rich stories and feel nourished by giving back to others. Here is what other people in this role say:
