Volunteer with your Pet (3195)

Bring along your good-natured pet and spend time chatting with people living with dementia or may be frail and elderly at our residential aged care home. You’ll see what a difference your furry friend can make. When bringing your pet into an aged care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is: Calm, patient & gentle in nature, Up-to-date with vaccinations/treatment of worms & fleas, Nails are short & blunt. Freshly cut nails should be filed. Dogs must be on a lead.

You’ll love this volunteer opportunity to chat and get to know residents. Volunteering with us is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only do you have an impact on the people you spend time with, but you’ll learn a lot and meet new people.

We’ll provide training and ongoing support.
